Camucia

Today, we started science class at 8:30 and finished a little before 12. Topic of the day: HIV and AIDS. And I got by without doing the reading! After lunch and much badgering from me, Amy and I went down to the town on the bottom of the mountain from Cortona called Camucia. I was in need of a hairdryer and Cortona apparently doesn’t have them except for expensive ones at the hair salon. And I probably sound a little high maintenance right now. We got down to Camucia at 1:15 ... siesta started at 1 and lasted until 4! It was like a ghost town and quickly became extremely frustrating. As much as I say I would love to have siesta in America, I’m seriously considering taking that back. Lesson learned: actually siest from 1-4.

When we got back to Cortona, Amy and I, along with a girl in the Viniculture program (there are two other maymester programs with us: a Viniculture group and Theater group) shopped around for a while and grabbed some dinner at one of the restaurants called Café Delgi Artisti. SOOOO GOOD!
